Your poem raises a lot of images and thoughts. Especially: It's really a funny world where we live in... Here we cage butterflies and set the scorpions free to reign. Watching/reading the daily news I can certainly think of some butterflies that should be free, and many scorpions they world would be much better without.

YES, but funny in a not-so-funny way! you managed to get reign and rain [homonyms**] into the same poem! **Homonyms (also called homophones) are words that sound like one another but have different meanings. Some homonyms are spelled the same, like bark (the sound a dog makes) and bark (the outer layer of a tree trunk) . ================================= And my wandering eyes ride the unseen hue in the falling rain to paint the gloomy sky with my dreams serene. ............ .............i like how this one sentence sounds and how it is spaced out on several lines. (though i don't claim to understand it) Xelam, you manage to get the word or meaning of gloom into several of your poems, as i manage (i hope) to get humor/humour into many of my poems, Valsa G. speaks often of flowers and butterflies in several of hers [well, you did mention butterflies here also......but caged ones], Lora C. speaks of love and depressing thoughts, and Brian J. works God into many of his. Well, THEY do say that variety is the spice of life, but some 'varieties' we could do without, couldn't we? ? thanks for sharing this. it shall appear in my/our A showcase for PH poets....August edition shortly. bri :)
