Funeral Of The Mind Poem by Etienne Charilaou

Funeral Of The Mind

The pyre lit so long ago;
kept alive by sundry logs
thrown in to appease
the all-devouring flame.

Into the blaze at last
I throw my mind,
the sick dog, rank -
it must perish.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Things are heating up! :)
Poem to be understood, perhaps, in the context of Aldous Huxley's phrase: ‘a more or less sudden and complete ‘revulsion' of consciousness…'
