Man and flower both the beauty of the earth. Magnificent comparison. A special poem. Both add beauty and both should be spreading fragrance. By men I mean mankind.... They get withered. And again lie back In the soft and kind Lap of soil… Great

I like the comparison, Shahzia. We come from soil, we return to soil and in between our task is just to emanate beauty. The flower its external beauty with wonderful colors and then us our soul beauty with our wonderful thoughts, words and acts. Let us think of the flower and consciously perform a few beautiful acts of kindness, rendering us beautiful like the flower, before we wither and return to the soil. Thought provoking imaginative, melodious write. Good.

A genuine poetic concern resulting in the writing of a poem... Man is the fortress of life and tracing him in the Shahzian track has just been amusing. Poetry breaks all barriers here and your perception gets aglow. As a man I would like to be plant and not its flower though..
