And so recently, like let's say TODAY, I fell in love.
And this is a very big deal because…..so say it only lasts
for a week or two, or at minimum until tomorrow, to have
an emotion at this point, with what I've gone through lately-

Julia, what a novel sentiment. I loved it! Being denied love, but grasping the words of love from other poets to fulfill a need or a day in your life. Truly a blues sonnet. Thanks for sharing.. : -)
I'm glad you see the blues sonnet potential of this poem and feel the spirit of it! Thank you for reading and responding.
A very delightful piece wit little images that made a beautiful pucture that touch my heart.Thank u
So glad I touched your heart! I do indeed wish I had the income of a successful heart surgeon while I mention…..
Beautiful and poignant. Please do keep at it, yourself. Find your hope wherever you need to find it. Survive. As your poem so wonderfully illustrates, you are by no means alone.
It feels great to be encouraged and understood through one's poetry! Thank you for your reading and response.
A lovely and steady flow of words, I enjoy reading it. Thanks for sharing such beautyful piece
I love this style of writing, it's like you're having a chat with us and it made me smile even though it's serious. As for love, I think it must be different for each one of us and for the different people we love. The love for your parents, your children, your lover/husband, girlfriend etc but it's definitely wonderful and there should be more of it :)
I like this interpretation, comment and shedding light on the conversational dimension of my poetry. That places it better for me. Thanks!
Thank you for shedding light on the 'conversational' dimension of my poetry.
A fabulous poem with fascinating poetic expression! I liked the middle stanza most................10
shall I bow, shall I pose? How long can I keep this dignity I'm feeling so from you poets for today, it is being in love, that I'm stealing. Beautiful
And thank you as I know you write about LOVE beautifully in your poems.
Your long lines appeal to me and so does your clinical examination of love.
Interesting analysis. In terms of clinical, I thought I was being kind of expressionistic and impulsive here. I often get far more detached than this in my poetry. I thought this was kind of a step forward into emotionalism. Funny what can be seen into what. Thanks for reading and responding. I enjoy the communication.
Thanks for wanting to borrow that feeling of love from us POETS. Now I want to replenish my " poet's love fund" so I can have something to lend...the infinitely increasing value of bonds from the LOVE RESERVE BANK.
I thought it would be the easiest to find there and also the easiest to steal, because I wouldn't feel bad because poets just create new love and more love everyday! Just being fair…..
So I'm borrowing this from you poets out there. To feel love, to fall in love, to for once not really care: not really care about the heart-break and friendship terrorist wound- just to live in the now while I fall in love today, shall I croon. And this is important. It's making me survive. - - - - -It is so nice to see that poetry gives you a reason to love and a desire to live, though you are uncertain whether this spirit will last long.
Wow! Julia, this is wonderful! So, so happy that you are in love! I am sure it will stay. Never doubt it. I love this breezy poem, a joyful sonnet. Just cannot leave without a full score.....10
Geeta, I am not actually 'in love.' I was just using an opportunity when I was 'in a better mood about it's possibility' to immediately write a poem in case it slipped away. I am not in love, but I am glad you liked my poem!
A poem from the heart... can't help but notice your new found writing style. Fantastic write!
I agree with Sandra. Never a better thing stolen. My love is given to you always not just today.
sweet pf you- thank you for the compliment- this is starting to feel infectious. I'm starting to love 'everyone.' help!
Never a better thing stolen If I dare say. Poetry adores To give it's love away. A poem full of originality and surprising reach, way past the day. Amazing thyme sung in different and piercing tones, but going all the way. I' m sure all poets here are delighted, that " You're in love today " And may it be long-lasting, not just for a day. And Bravo, sincerely for the quality of this poem and its great originality, too.
It is TODAY the 29th Oct 2023, the first day of the winter-clock in West-Europe and my response is: poetry gives you a reason to love and a desire to live, though you are not certain whether this spirit will last long.or not. Amazingly worded, Julia!
