This was absolutely heartbreaking. Thank you for writing about this. Perhaps such tortures will end for our children and our women in this cruel world. I praise you for words well used. Thank you. Your poem was well constructed as well. The presentation was well done. Congratulations! GW62

Imagery is very clear! Well depicted poem of the torture nobody can tolerate! Hats off to you for this reminder to the world! Instead of growing the flower they are crushing it in the bud itself; it is the most unkindest cut of all!

Very poignant! It is the most unfortunate state of affairs in the temples of learning! Let us pray and hope that good sense will prevail over all the concerned! Thought provoking poem!

Ravi, How my heart breaks to know there is truth in this. Oh how it cries. This needs to be read in many cirlcles and published along with I am sure, more poems that point out other sins and injustices. Read my poem, Despair. It is about Hungry and abused children. We often feel so impotent as human beings without resources to take up action. But a poet can at least write his words and draw attention to issues. My most sincere regards for this fine work. Susan

a very wise write...an universal appeal to one and all its time to get rid of forces brutal. The last verse definitely will trigger a process of social re-enigneering

Teachers ought to be role models, They are the sculptors of future generations. If they are far behind in love and affection, Where is the future nation under construction? .............the message to be taken home..........Good Write...........

'With bricks upon the shoulders' represents two pictures simultaneously of child labour and children being pinished in a brutal manner.Nothing practically could be achieved through writings. The context of India has to achieve a lot in respect of democracy.'

True.......'Teachers ought to be role models, They are the sculptors of future generations'......school is the second home of our children, teachers are their second parents.....if there are teachers who punish students like that i suggest that there should be a yearly psychological evaluation for the teachers before the opening of the school year....Great awareness piece here........10
