Utterly magnificent concatenation of images leading us into that barbaric ancient world and back out to Pelican green, Pelican go! Or are those worlds so close together that they shade into each other if we just look closely enough? Such a realistic creation from the world of your remarkable imagination! !

O what luscious metaphoric language! A focussed eye on the natural element as you sketch realms between the tenor and the vehicle of these metaphors, yet evoking extravagant eloquence merely to brutalise it by reducing it down to size for further evaluation. Such reduction of magnificience in modern times (while alluding to the past) , elicits perhaps an academic snicker or a chuckle, as much as expresses several insights. GWG

A pictorial smorgasborg with some hitherto unknown ingredients. As the daughter of a dentist I particularly liked your 'persistent molars of a near-edentulous jaw'. The poem is also very musical in its phrasing and your image of the pale green pelican is sublime. A brilliant poem. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxx

Stunning, Tailor. Jam-packed with imagery and atmosphere, this is wonderfully crafted. Learned and intelligent, too, though this comes as no suprise of course, from your fine pen. t x
