From Home, Still Far Away Poem by james watkin

From Home, Still Far Away

Lad, leads it back to where, ever
With the hurried on will
Evening dim, a path, not loosing
If had you for choosing?
Older, slower, grey and back-bent
If home's the answer still
Higher for its hope, skied and staired
Trails off; exultant aired?
