From A Cape's Lengthening Neck Poem by james watkin

From A Cape's Lengthening Neck

From a cape's lengthening neck
Dagger-thrusts of the sea
That brave, impassively
Unsteady, one stands becalmed.
Jolted, one sits calmly.

A pageant, as mythic-lit
Venus' pearl-shelled dent
Slides 'neath him, summer-bent.
In sailboats' peace-unfurling.
Fin-flanked no different.
