Frightening-Looking Trees Poem by james watkin

Frightening-Looking Trees

Deterring whose disfavour of
A soft-creeped but sharp toe
As makes all your branching ways
Twisty-tortuous go?

That pain, in sugar glider?
Pest in ugly weevil?
Or goanna? Or boy as bear
Shoeless, and wilder still?
