Friendship's Laurel Poem by james watkin

Friendship's Laurel

The honouring friendships
Of girlish binding
More the glint round a neck
Or gold, wrists enring;

Evergreen -the word-leafed
In square placed garland.
Light-discreet, for secrets
That juicy expand!

Twinship conferred! No jolt
Of vows to injure.
Tight-bound, and for comfort
Yearly, more secure.
