The word friend is akin to Friede = peace. I do like this concept of friendship. Peace may be ephemeral, but it does not bind anyone, it sets people free. You are positive about it, as long as friendship is not claiming the other. To state this clearly, the first line could perhaps better be: Often the practice of friendship is a myth.
