bryan, i think the first stanza is perfect. it sets itself with a distinctive voice. i do think you should re-write the second stanza. it somehow veered of the tone and mood and attitude you set in stanza one. its difficult to differentiate between the narrator, and you the poet; you ve mingled everything up.

Yes, A true friend wipe of the tears and friendship is a heart of trust. Beautiful words...Well written. Liked reading it.
