I love stories about friendship forever, honour, respect and decency- about being true to a loved one even when they are not near us or have offended us - that is the measure of true friendship and its test: If after friends had an argument they forgive each other, they are true friends, but if they turn away as the poem say, they never were true friends in the first place.
