Freezing Cold Poem by Phil Soar

Freezing Cold

The day began in silence
No birdsong filled the air
The freezing cold
Had taken hold
There was ice everywhere
No sign of life of any kind
As people stayed in bed
Too cold to venture out today
Just snuggle up instead
And when the sun began to rise
The wildlife sprang into gear
And as I watched it come alive
I was so glad I am here
