Freedom Of My Freedom Poem by Namita Rani Panda

Freedom Of My Freedom

Neither I'm a pool
not to show ripples
if you throw into me a stone.
I will show ripples thousand,
do whatever you can do.

Nor I'm a dumb cattle
not to bellow in pain
if you whip me.
I will bellow as loudly as I can
do whatever you can do.

Neither I'm a bird
not to fly
if you so say.
I will fly high and high
to touch the sky
do whatever you can do.
Nor I'm a river
to stop flowing
as per your saying.
I will flow dancing and singing
on the mountains and the plain,
do whatever you can do.

Neither I'm a child
not to run and play
if you ask me to stay.
I will run and play
on golden sand,
green carpet under the azure sky,
do whatever you can do.

Nor I'm a girl
who is dumb and deaf
if you torture her
she will weep and weep.
I will fight for my right
and live as I wish,
do whatever you can do.

I am what I am and
never will I change,
better change yourself
or accept me as I am
if ever you can do.
