Freedom Poem by Panagiota Romios

Freedom

Rating: 5.0

Years ago~~~~~
They were shoved in trains.
Tortured, many baked.
Showered with gas, their lives cut
cruelly short.

Some had surrendered guns to the
almighty government.
So, learn the Warsaw ghetto lesson well!
No protection when the soldiers came!
Many lives taken and wastefully
spent.
They all had a right to live!
But were labeled criminals and no
due process did they have.

We must never like the Nazi's be.
America, nay..any country!
Destroying a human's life and
accomplishments dispassionately!
When even one person loses due
process rights,
We all better start having restless,
sleepless nights.

For when anyone can accuse you or
I on hear-say or baselessly,
Once this happens, and we believe it,
We are well on the way to hell, willingly!
