Pay no heed to magnetic attraction
Chemistry and sexual desire
Fan only the flames
Of self destruction

A relationship
Based only on lust
Gives only
False promises
Instability
And confusion

Pay attention
To your own needs
As cat and mouse games
Cause mistakes
To be made

Insecurity and mistrust
Tempers frayed by irritation
Expectations lead to disappointment

Stand firmly on solid foundations
Be calm to new ideas and changes
No more lies and secrets
No more misunderstandings
No secret gardens
Of deceit or illegality
No unfulfilled fantasies

Ask yourself
Is this love
Or only lust
Is magnetic attraction
Really enough?

Is this coupling
A prerequisite
That enables you
To be true to you
And me true to me?
