How am I supposed to get by alone.
When your hand is the only hand I've
known. The only heart that has shown,
me the way. To get through each day.
To survive and be okay. Your eye's are
the only eye's that have seen, all of me.
When I didn't know me. And yet you taught
me, to just be. When I didn't want to be,
just me. You showed me there was more,
then just what I saw, behind my own locked
doors. You gave me the keys. Squeezed my
hand and told me, to let God lead. I promised
and agreed. But it's just that, , , without you,
I didn't ever wish to be free.
So deeply touching, poignant and heartfelt. Each and every line touches the heart. So beautifully and tenderly expressed.
May God restore your joy and give you piece dear Becca, thank you for sharing this : )
So very beautiful and touching! It is indeed very sad to see those wonderful and Godly people who directed us to Christ pass away... We still are not lost - Christ loves and cares for us!
Such a touching piece! It is hard to see those who led us to Jesus go to join him before we do! I love the rhythm of this piece! Thanks for sharing it!
I hope in God's own time, your loss will create an avenue to feel happiness again. Beautiful poem and to my favorites.
Death and separation always creates void in our very being..It is likened to that wound that will never, never heal.

What a sweet poem! Many thanks to those wonderful servants of God, parents, ministers, who pointed us to Jesus. But we are not lost. Jesus cares for us and watches over us! Thank you for a phenomenal, touching poem, Becca!
