Fragrance Of Divine Service Poem by Mystic Qalandar

Fragrance Of Divine Service

Fragrance of Divine Service—
A fragrance distilled from light,
breathed into the heart
by the Most Merciful.

It begins not with noise,
but with stillness deep—
a breath that whispers,
"I serve for You, O Allah."

Serve without the glance
of eyes to witness you,
without the hunger for earthly reward.
For the realm of the unseen
holds the true bloom of your giving.

Wherever life plants you, serve:
the orphan amidst silence,
the traveler through sundered hopes,
the heart bowed beneath sorrow.

Let your hand be soft,
your heart a chamber of light—
small kindnesses ripple
like incense through eternity.

Grip your path and walk steadfast,
through hunger,
through struggle,
through shadow.

Feed the hungry, lift the fallen,
speak gentleness into despair.
Let patience be your bridge,
trust your lantern in the dark.

And know—
every act of mercy returns, unseen,
carried by angels to the One
who knows all hearts:
"For whatever good you send forth,
you shall find it with Allah."

Serve—
not for the world's fleeting flame of praise,
but as mercy's mirror, reflecting His light.
Serve, and in serving, you become
a vessel of love
that sustains the worlds.
