I feel that his staunch write is some what restrained and yet it's brutal honesty is sadly compelling but repugnant. Domestic violence effects so many and it's consequences far reaching. The beauty released by the broken glass is a beautiful metaphor for the release from the cursed environment, shattered but with a retained intrinsic strength and beauty, defiant against brutality.

Oh, I also was brought up under this regime, it stays with me always....So pleased you can let it out, I have always found it hard to. Be happy now. A brilliant sad poem.
