Fracking In India Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Fracking In India

Rating: 5.0

This poem is a sequel (or you call rejoinder) to the poem "Fracking in The UK" by Poet Tom Allport.

It is ok in the UK,
But in India
under the putin-slave
(or is he the putin senior?)
the energy price
rises every day,
whether the international prices
of crude rises or falls.
The only time
the prices freeze
is the election time.

He is fracking
the empty pockets
of the poorest man
of his last rupee.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

While the world denounces the Russian dictator, his slave in India bends himself backwards to support him in the UN and elsewhere.

Today's newspaper says, the tax collection in India has surpassed the pre-COVID levels. But nothing to the poor. No halt to the rise in prices, of fuel or food. This government is for the corporate henchmen, by the rich and of the rich. Poor continue damned.

All over the world, prices of petroleum products are shooting up, as the US and the E U have imposed sanctions on Russian oil. But, in India the matter is different. The corporate oil giants command and the subservient political leadership just obey. This nation is going to dogs.
