You were
a beacon of inspiration
a representative of holiness
a symbol of spirituality;
we will weep for you.
You were
a lighthouse of divinity
an icon of spirituality
a shining star of unity;
we will weep for you.
You were
a healer of sufferings
a reliever of pains
a marvel of miracles;
we will weep for you.
You were
a comforter of agony
a guardian of harmony
a leader of masses;
we will weep for you.
You were
a pillar of courage
a treasure of faith
a center of devotion;
we will weep for you.
You were
a preacher of love
an apex of dedication
an angel of the poor;
we will weep for you.
You dedicated yourself to God
you cured the sick people poor or rich;
you taught us to pray and sing;
we will weep for you.
You made people throng
to hear you speak
to get themselves healed
to get themselves immersed in God's love;
we will weep for you.
You were the source,
you were the river,
you were the sea and the ocean of our faith;
we will weep for you.
You reached out to people far and wide,
they came to you to overcome their sufferings
and learn of true devotion;
we will weep for you.
You made everyone to smile
you made everyone to sing
you made everyone to clap their hands
in joyousness and worship;
we will weep for you forever.
You were the lamp of love
you were a brother to every Goan
you were a mentor to those in anguish;
we will weep for you.
You held the hands of the weak and sick
you never let go the hands that wept
you never let go the hand that cried in pain;
we will weep for you.
You were the devotee who inspired people
that God always held the hands
of those who called out to Him;
we will weep for you.
You held grace within you
you shared your grace with
every Goan brother and sister,
we salute you for your humbleness;
we will weep for you.
So many will remember you
so many will silently sob for you
among them, one will be me;
we Goans will weep for you.
