Thud! That was the sound of my head hitting the computer's keyboard. This poem should come with a warning: Do not try to solve if you have a bad case of bronchitis which lowers IQ numbers by 50%.... I shall return when I have a brain.

Of the four riddles only the last remains at all timeless and explicable by anyone not contemporary with the time and place in which this was written. Which makes it, all-in-all, a bit of obscure arcanum. Rather I would be pleased to repeat, why is a raven like a writing desk, Charles Lutwidge Dodgson?
