Found In A Notebook Poem by Belle Wassermeister

Found In A Notebook

Rating: 5.0

Before I heard the doctors tell
the dangers of a kiss,
I had considered kissing you
the nearest thing to bliss.

But now I know biology
I sit and sigh and moan,
six million mad bacteria
and I thought we were alone.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I found this poem in a notebook that belonged to my aunt, written in my aunt's handwriting, but I don't think she created it. I'm sure I had heard it somewhere else before. Does anyone know who the real author is?
