Hopefully if you're lucky
Your life is a love story
Not one filled with conquests
And weekend nights of glory

But a real true love
Someone there for you
Someone to lend a helping hand
To help you do what you need to do

Someone you value as a true love
Someone who fills your heart with joy
Someone who gave you a lifetime
Of nothing but happiness to enjoy

Someone who touched
Every facet of your being
Someone who made you proud
Even if you weren't always agreeing

If this is the kind of love you lived
Then consider yourself very fortunate
That you experienced a kind of love
That was true and always permanent
