So Poetic! i could rhyme that with pathetic, but................i won't. how could i use this in August? i just used it in March this year according to my previous comment. let me look at any new poem you have and see what i find. otherwise i DO have more of yours waitingin the wings in MyPoemList. :) bri

i shall place this, in its entirety, into my/our MARCH 2017 'SHOWCASE FOR PH POETS'. IF IT were 4 lines longer, i would leave some of it out of the showcase (maybe): see my message sent to you today. if you don't want this in the showcase, tell me and i'll take it out. you may submit another to replace it also. keep me in mind in April (for showcase) . :) bri :)

What I enjoy the most about this site is when I see a remark by a name unknown to me and I decide to detour from my usual routine and go see what this person posts- - and discover that I have stumbled across a huge talent! Huge! Thank you for sharing this gem of a poem, this pear of great price. For I dwell stubborn in a Fortress, Content with merely hurling snippets Of cerebral musings over the battlements. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Now that is a creative closure! A most unique image that I will not easily forget. 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ and a place on my Favorite List.
Hi Susan, You are awfully kind! I was quite reluctant to publish my poems because, as you can see, they are a bit 'odd', to say the least! It’s quite encouraging, though, when you realize that more than a handful of people actually find something to like in them. Poetry, I think, lays bridges across people’s minds and hearts in a way that it more than justifies the risk. All the best to you… Rod
very nice. i do not 'rate' with numbers, but with my words. i am also not afraid to make suggestions or point out typos to some poets. strange! i find no 'real problems' with this poem. it is almost a 'love poem', but not quite, so i won't downgrade it for THAT! favorite lines: But my poetry is barren and bleak, Stale concoction in the recesses of the brain, For I dwell stubborn in a Fortress, .....................i like barren/bleak/brain and the capital F especially. thanks for 'proper punctuation'; it really helps me a lot sometimes to follow a poet's drift. also i esp. enjoyed: the suburbs of your frock to MyPoemList. bri :)

Thank you Bharati. Yes, you're right, in a way this came from a feeling of frustration, though also from the acknowledgement that most poetry I read is highly emotional, whereas mine tends to be more brainy. Hope there's nothing wrong with that!
