REMEMBER those 5 stars I just gave 'you' next time you are driving by with your ICE CREAM delivery truck, AND drop off a few gallons of 'Cherry-Apple-Maple Walnut Swirl' at my home. ;) bri
Cherry-Apple-Maple it is, Bri! Thank you so very much. Really enjoyed these comments.
Ok, I've talked myself, reluctantly, into giving your 'Form' 5 ***** stars. bri : )
IF we were to S T R E T C H the well-accepted definition of 'sepsis': 'Sepsis is your body's extreme reaction to an infection', perhaps we could add 'a terminal condition of an organ caused by it being 'shattered'!
'A person with sepsis might have one or more of the following signs or symptoms: High heart rate or weak pulse Confusion or disorientation Extreme pain or discomfort Fever, shivering, or feeling very cold.
Mr. Lemon, you aren't 'that one'? ? Come on, it should be FUN! ! !
Oh! I've thought of more (body parts which 'search': an eye searching for....anything, a mouth 'searching' for its words, AND MY BLADDER 'searching' for a urinal.) : )
I've heard of (figurative) -hearts seeking love; see poems on PH by inactive Lora/Lorraine Colon. But except for a stomach searching for its next meal, or, maybe a foot searching for its slipper, I'm not familiar with body parts 'searching'. (cont.)
To me, it IS SHORT on PUNCTUATION MARKS; does Mark(s) sound familiar to YOU?
I thought, while reading the 1st half of the 1st stanza, that I might get too excited if you continued as you had begun. Then things calmed down.
Did I already say I like/liked Form? I did/do, though if I wasn't determined to read a poem from you (and hadn't peeked at the first lines I may not have read it, the title being so....'SIMPLE'. ;)
(cont.) (more FACTS) : She was diagnosed with 'sepsis', origin unknown. She seemed unconscious when she died. I held her hand. She had a DNR [ Do Not Resuscitate ] order 'on file'. She was over 90 y.o., and it was 'HER TIME TO GO'. RIP, Mom. ;) bri
My mom [[this IS fact]] died in a hospital bed, with IV morphine flowing into her vein, with my sister and me left to decide how to control the flow. (cont.) ...
M., I like this, even though I don't...., even with my VAST IMAGINATION, ...(yet) imagine HOW in 'H' you arrived at 'sepsis' in this poem. But it (almost) has inspired me! !
2) I'll sing out my frustration at karaoke tonight! In accord with Anil's sentiments!
M.J., I'm wary of commenting now because PH doesn't seem to be posting my comments nor showing me the comments of others to my poems. Extremely FRUSTRATING because they're robbing me of an activity that I really like!
Thank you so very much, Richard. Your comments came in just this morning. Yes, seems it may be taking a while to publish posts.
I think that Bri may be formulating thoughts about writing that poem to sepsis! Now...if anybody can do it, it would be him or you, M.J.! Let's see who is the first!
