Forgotten Souls Poem by Shaun Cronick

Forgotten Souls

Rating: 5.0

I have seen my father cry,
I have seen my sister cry.
Also my dear mother cry,
Many others besides and I.

That is one real reason why,
All of us do sometimes try.
To show a sympathetic sigh,
For all others as we go by.

As each year that comes along,
Sweeter still is the song.
Love and honour and we bless,
Those with plenty, those with less.

Knowing all wealth and power,
Crumble they do at any hour.
The world forgets you and me,
In a short time, shadows flee.
