This is a remarkable poem. It is a searching poem, goes deep within to seek the truth but at the same time is open to what might be called the visitation of angels who bring a timely message of hope. There's both the toughness of a human being who takes the initiative to find the truth, but who is also humble before the presence of higher forces. When I taught OEDIPUS THE KING, I told students Oedipus's search for the truth is admirable UNTIL his pride takes over and he does not listen to the higher powers present. That theme struck with special force as I read your poem and realized your speaker wisely chooses humility over pride. It's a lesson that needs to be learned immediately.
To quite ghosts I shout aloud Amen, amen my prayer is found Lovely, Noreen!
Such wonder in words; and your notes about the poem say it perfectly also. Very good!
Another beautiful little poem Noreen. I'm not a religious man myself but can appreciate, and possibly envy, your religious beliefs.
Walking in the starry darkness. I seek a quiet place of peace. Beautifully presented prayer poem shared on. Very nice job done in awaking all.

Amen Amen my prayer is found Draw near and hear my joyous sound A beautiful poem with a touch of spiritualism where on prayer human soul intends touching the ultimate Reality.Wonderful Col Muhammad Khalid Khan
A nice poem with a nice title. 'I still my breath to quiet my mind. In the solitude I find. Even silence has a sound' - It is a beautiful expression of a feeling that I can relate to. Very much liked Daniel Brick's comment.
