I tend to go for what I call straightforward storytelling, often with humor involved, plenty of 'good' rhyming, and...well. But I still LIKE this POEM. 4 STARS. bri ;)
This is not what I tend to enjoy in a poem; it's unclear what is being expressed, but.....I like it nonetheless. It seems to involve a man and a woman with a romantic past which may have ended in death.
Bri, Thanks for dropping by. If you want rhymes read one of my metered sonnets. I do it all. Forms in accentual meter, syllabic meter, accentual syllabic meter (iambic) but other feet as well.
I 'found' you today, R.H., when I stumbled upon your comment on my poem A Lonely Cloud. Thanks. bri : )
This one of his I like
The Rainbow - My heart leaps up when I behold/ A rainbow in the sky; / So was it when my life began. So is it now I am a man, / So be it when I shall grow old, Or let me die! / The Child is father of the Man; And I could wish my days to be. Bound each to each by natural piety.
