An excellent poem with wonderful beginning and ending. It drew my attention from the start till end. Thank you poet Asit Sanyal for sharing this!
On the question: Whether it is possible to forgive a purposeful premeditated harm or injury. Well, it's possible but not likely. For instance, when you love and trust someone unconditionally, and that person betrays you in some fundamental and premeditated way; not a forgetful or thoughtless way, not an oversight or an error of omission. But in a profound self serving way. Seriously one has to be inspired to let go. A classic example is a husband who idolizes his wife but discovers she's having an intense affair with another man. Bottom-line, forgiveness is an attribute of the strong and not the weak. A beautiful poem, well articulated and penned with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem THE PHOENIX STRANGLER.
