A very touching and tender poem. Forgiving is one of the hardest thing to do. Still to forgive is up to you. Good write.

Loving unconditionally without expecting anything in return and forgiveness go hand in hand in my opinion...when we can forgive someone for not loving us back when we would like them to, we have reached the highest peak of understanding our purpose in life. Excellent poem Rick that gives the reader much to think about.
