So profoundly written, in a mesmerizing language that I have forgotten that this poem goes about............Forgetfulness. I get such a hilarious feel inside me.
This is ectra ordinary poem about our forgetfulness, the older the worse, methinks, but you have explained here in hemisphere phrases how our mind is working, I have come to the conclusion this is most valuable and most important!
The fist and the last stanzas are particularly beautiful! Heartiest congratulations on the poem’s selection as the ‘Modern Poem of the Day’!
Heart-rending and glorious description of the sad journey of losing one's memory
Yes, forgetfulness. but I`m not sure if the kind of forgetfulness is clear here. Forgetfulness as to what or by whom? Or to whom? Sometimes it reads that the forgetfulness is of the people about him and other times ii seems that the person is the one who is forgetting.
Enjoyed very much, and have spent time in that “little fishing village with no phones“ lol
The boon granted by the almighty to human to forget things for maintaining space in one's memory has been beautifully used in this modern poem of the day. Congrats.
No wonder you rise in the middle of the night to look up the date of a famous battle in a book on war. No wonder the moon in the window seems to have drifted out of a love poem that you used to know by heart. /// that's great, so lovely poem; love is awaken nerve though it sleeps deep; love is concerned nerve though it spends time subconsciously; true love can forget everything but can't forget true heart of feelings
Whatever it is you are struggling to remember, it is not poised on the tip of your tongue, not even lurking in some obscure corner of your spleen. a fine poem. and very realistic. tony

Screw you bad poem Fallout 76 good game, just people who dont like it are toxic haters, bad people in short. Me and my buddy Jason Johnson are going to go solve a bunch of criminals, basically bad poem.
Why does the reader read these poems in such a monotone? She is awful.
You have such a wonderful way with words. They paint such a creative image in my mind's eye. Thanks!
Yes, I know the feeling. I've always loved Goethe's Erlkönig (The Elf King) poem so much that I had memorized it both in the original German and the English translation. Now I can only recall the first stanza (Wer reitet so spät durch Nacht und Wind...) Ach, shade!
I used to have I Have Been One Acquainted with The Night by Robert Frost memorized. It mentions the moon as being like a clock. I should get back to memorizing it.
Now I know how it reads a poem written by Professor Eddie Collins. Many times I wanna hold the words that flows so rapidly in this poem, but they constantly continue flowing more rapidly, but it was a nice feel having read this poem by a Professor!
