Portraiture means, sometimes,
silent poetry,
And other times means blossoming flowers.

From: Luke Easter (Cleveland, Ohio United States; Male; 60) To: Marieta Maglas Date Time: 3/23/2010 8: 03: 00 PM (GMT -6: 00) Subject: Re: Re: Re: hello (Tell a story more like this) For Every Time His Eyes See… Painting beautiful words or painting with words, On an ugly portrait with hidden beauty unheard, Because painting is sometimes our silent poetry, While only through rhyme & verse will all agree. This blossoming is a miracle jaded in self pretense, Simply beauty beyond my words used to re-invent, Truly we can be filled with a love that’s the same, Our tears watering flowers like food from the rain. Floating in a river of time smooth like a cube of ice, It melts with sweet vanilla thoughts coming to light, As creative & insightful thoughts, form in the mind, My witness testifying to the truth in him I will find. Cascading a high rainbow degree of soulful honesty, Not frustrated by living with a faith filled spirituality, Writings born from her obsessions with music insight, Memories frolicking in his head throughout the night. Feeling the weight of loneliness almost creeping inside, Behind the earthly realm so mortal souls need not hide, Her joyful lines are the flashing pools of colored light, Being at her side becomes a Shangri-La, like paradise. Behind eyes of the heavenly Father all souls stand equal, As no one composes anything greater than God’s sequel, I graciously dedicate this piece to Eyan Desir the scribe, A member in good standing of our family’s poetic tribe. So who penned this written testimony ever so graciously? And the romantic title, “For Every Time His Eyes See…? ” Marieta Maglas painted this masterpiece of hidden youth, A witness sworn in secrecy & testifying only to the truth.

dear marie.......outstanding poem, and the first four lines are exquisite.a beautiful tribute, straight from the soul.loved it! .......ritty
This is interesting Some of these lines...I know them pretty well Thanks for the dedication Marieta..
This is a very beautiful tribute Mari and I am glad you have dedicated it to a very fine poet and friend EYAN DESIR. Eyan - together with some of us is an ENCOURAGER and that (to me) is a very important role of individuals in the lovely PH Family. There are some (whom I term MOONSTERS) - who torment the Lovely NIV and persecute the Unique TAMARA - but praise God they are the exception and a very small minority. What does your lovely poem tell us? Verse One. Because every POEM is a 'Painting with Words' we need to exercise our pen before we write and let each word be 'savoured with salt'. Like 'Flower blossom' like our 'Tears in the rain'. I love your analogy with ICE & WATER. As you are aware Mari ICE & WATER are both H2O but ice - because of of its beautiful 3D diamond structure occupies more volume than the liquid water from which it froze. Beacuse of this it floats above the surface of the 'River of Time'. An 'unformed poem' consists of 'liquid words' but a 'written poem' is crystalised words with a beautful 'diamond structure' which radiates on the page like an ice cule floating on water. There is a whole thesis there so I will move relunctantly on to Verse Two: From EYAN - Sweet - Light filled - creative insightful thoughts - freely shared with all of us. 'With the highest degree of honesty - naked truth' I love that concept. Verse Three: Does our FAITH frustrate us? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? What obsesses our Poems - Mari - Music - Memory - Misery - Mortality - Morbidity - Morallity - You tell me Mari what drives a Poet to crytallise a 'Thing of Beauty' out of a 'Dictionary of Fluidity'. What is it that inspires MAYA ANGELOU to sculpt a GEM out of mere words. I am not going to give up writing Poetry just because it is not classed as genius - Just like EYAN and MARIETA MAGLAS and NIV and TAMARA - so I write poetry because we have no choice what is in our heads must come out on paper or we would die. But let GOD be our judge and let us be ENCOURAGERS of ourselves and others greater than us. 'In the eyes of the FATHER - where all souls stand as equals - for every time HIS EYES SEE - The Truth behaind all our verbal aspirations. Thank you for your insipation Mari - thank you for opening your heart and a baring your soul for all our EDIFICATION - thank you for being uniquely you. Love you in poetry - JOHN. . .
Very creative indeed. Every time he sees, he saw the beauty of art, of different arts but music and poetry are foods for the human souls. Without those the world is void and the word love would be unknown. Well crafted this piece is.
Because painting is sometimes...silent poetry i like this experation. well write dear Marieta +10
True, a lot of imagination is required to paint a poem like painting a portrait. Painting a poem with colorful and meaningful words is like painting a portrait with colorful brush.
Really a good composition.Worth reading. Thanks for inviting me to read your nice poem.
