Forever Embraced Poem by Tina Baaklini

Forever Embraced

My love,

As the earth tenderly envelops the seed
To protect it from sunlight
Or from being soaked or driven away by the rain,
To furnish it with necessary warmth, darkness
And nutrients to flourish and grow

Thus at the core of your soul
I dwell in peace floating in the sea
Of your unparalleled tenderness

The tree, feeling grateful, extends its arms
To become deeply rooted and hug mother earth, Thus our two hearts' roots are interlaced
Forever embraced, should we be close,
Or distanced by fate

It is believed that God created Adam from clay
As soulmates, we belong to the same paste
Our souls are sealed by a unique divine imprint
Since creation and forever within engraved
