Forever Poem by Rodney Dufault

Forever

My mind is full of memories
I dare not think about.
I know I am so much better
than they all thought I'd turn out.
For now I laugh instead of cry
when they try to hurt my pride.
And one thing I can say for me -
I know how hard I've tried.

It took so long for me to learn
that I again could trust,
but when I touched your loving heart
I knew then that I must.
You are everything I ever need,
so let us love together.
We'll share this love and happiness
for always and...forever.
