Strong hint of pessimism in this one Herbert, but it is so well written, in fact, it is quiet beautiful, it would be petty to to judge it on it's theme.

This is wonderful Herbert..........Even though I always look forward to the end of the holidays and the start of the new year, there's a hint of sadness. This poem seems to capture that feeling for me. Sincerely, Mary
