Forbidden Fruit Poem by susette varga

Forbidden Fruit

Eager to taste forbidden fruit
Live life in a rebellious way
Breaking habits of usual routine
Seizing all opportunities
That come my way

Matters forgotten
Brushed aside
Collided together
I'm no longer trapped

Wholeheartedly
Accepting
Self revolution
Exciting challenges
Making changes
Setting my soul free

No longer entangled
In chains of illusion
Harsh reality
Aids my escape

Choosing to be
Nobodies fool
Able now to surrender
The facade
And the make believe

Now strong enough
To not succumb
To your handsome face
Your sweet talking tongue

True to myself
I dare to respect
All that is right
Not what is wrong

Your disrespect
Upon me
Inflicted needlessly

Lesson learned
So clear to me
That living life
Hedonistically
Is what were
Bred to do

So selfishly
I join with thee
Now there is only me
I do not care
How you fare
As long as i'm ok

Forbidden fruits
Here i come
Make some room for me
