Forbidden_ 2 Poem by Shierylle Barison

Forbidden_ 2

Even though I miss you,
I won't pull myself to you.
I know just where to stand.
Between my heart and mind's command.

I can manage my own pain.
No need for you to see my strain.
In silence, I'll let the tears flow.
Learning to let this longing go.

You're a tale I shan't unfold.
A secret I've kept, a story untold.
I penned you deep within my heart.
A hidden chapter, set apart.
