For Your Music, I Am Grateful Poem by Madelene Calalo

For Your Music, I Am Grateful

Rating: 5.0

Your strings bring so much meaning.
With every strum you make,
Your soul is speaking.
Your spirit flows and blows like wind
That soothes the emptiness felt within.

Your hands create all yearned comfort.
As they press through each chord
and pluck without effort.
Your music resounds and astounds like fire
That glows through the darkest skies.

I thank you for the music you’ve given me -
The melody that now, I always see;
The rhythm that makes my heart leap rapidly;
The sound that sets my whole life free.

I thank you for the songs you sing to me,
Whose lyrics you made so carefully;
That every word pronounced spoke loudly
Of the truth that sets all prisoners free.

I thank you for the harmony you play in me.
For giving the peace I asked daily;
And finally, the rest I once struggled for nightly,
I have acquired because of the music you’ve given me.

Thank you.
