The first two lines of this piece stand out, almost incongruently from the remainder of the poem forming a very powerful emphasis for what follows, yet creating such a visual that my desire is to linger there first, and savor the imagery just a bit longer. And then the remainder of the poem is such a quietly radiant visualization of life, truth, love, that lingers in the mind long after the final words. Brilliant work, Bharati.

With the touch of your sweet, loving fingers, the flower got assimilated into the vastness of love that it dissolved its solitary and singular existence in your bigger self! I am sure among her proud cousins, this little flower must have been feeling so very inadequate! It was at that time she got absorbed into your bigger world! Wild, unnoticed flowers always capture my attention! Lovely write, Bharati!

WE SHOULD COLLECT SUCH SMALL FLOWERS AND MAKE OUR ENERGY SOURCE. Your statement is so simple but it has profound ramifications. It is both literal and figurative. I have a friend who distills flowers into an elixir which heals much sickness. Robert is working on that literal physical level. But as a poet you are managing feelings, dreams, hopes the way Robert manages natural things. I like the term anthropologists use SYMPATHETIC MAGIC: natural things recognize their kinship with other natural things and act in tandem.

I wonder you must have shared your smiles and beauty with this little flower, so that she melted into your fragrance with her gratitude.

A lovely write on the power of love. Some apparently trivial moments in life leave a lasting impact on us. Holding a soft flower in your hand is symbolic...love gives you the same feeling n delight like the softness of petals. A beautiful work.10

Hi Bharati, Exquisite! Softly, lest Its petals may break The flower smiled Reminds me of the beautiful smile of a little baby. I love to believe that the flower is a metaphor for a baby.. Thank you.10++

This poem explains why your readers flock to read your newest works... you connect to life in the most extraordinary ways.... I held it on my palm Softly, lest Its petals may break The flower smiled For some seconds I was not I Flower was not there Perhaps It had melted in my hand.

You have captured a moment of bliss, fullness, in this short but profound writing. These are moments when one loses oneself in the universal whole. Great! (10)

The melting of flower is a philosophical term...nicely used to describe the feeling of JOY and Happiness.....Loved it....The beauty is to see and feel and not to destroy....100++++
