I will never know what love could be.
Until you came and set my spirit free.
My life then sparkled with joy anew.
Happiness danced like morning dew.

For the first time, people see my heart.
In love's embrace, I've found my part.
Through thick and thin, I will stand by your side.
In right and wrong, our hearts will abide.

But time has passed, and feelings have changed.
You left me on a night so strange.
With trembling hands in shadows cast,
The chill of loneliness held me fast.

For the first time, I feel I'm dying.
With every heartbeat, my heart is crying.
Awake at night, in pain I lie,
Asking heaven, "Why let love make me sigh? "
