For Petty Gains Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

For Petty Gains

Rating: 5.0

Everyone wants to live-
Live a great life at any age
Everyone wants to be happy
Happy, but without any efforts.

Know about, Vedic India-
Where, the lot is supposed
Supposed to be well behaved.

This time the political parties-
Crossed all limits of tolerance
Going afar human boundaries
Sure, to pay a very heavy cost-
For the dirt and filth thrown upon
Upon constitutional heads of state
The President and the Prime minister
Chief-Justice of Supreme Court of India
Heads of high constitutional institutions
Lowering their credibility for petty gains.

You have underlined the ills afflicting the very foundation of our Republic. That too in the quest of political upmanship. Thanks a lot.
