POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Although Ginsberg was arguably Kerouac's best friend, he was never allowed in Kerouac's mother's home. Talk about prejudice! Ironically, when Kerouac died, it was Ginsberg who consoled his mother in her home.
