I made a promise
To me & you
To do my best
And see it through

An old promise
Freshly renewed
A vow restored
For me & you

Out of love
And fear too
Of losing me
Of losing you

I did it quick
As power withdrew
In mind & body
And spirit too

For all the gifts
That nature grew
Especially me
Especially you

I swore it sober
I swore it true
For ever & ever
For me & you
