Very well said poem on a heartfelt situation which we all have around the world, ...perfect words, The Forgotten Shadows that generally drowned their life in drink. Trouble is not many people do anything to help sadly I'm one of them...great work reagrds

Have you shown this series of poems to Leeds counsellors, I am sure they will change their ways after you put them on the map. Have a read of my poem Alone on the Streets, it is similar. Here in Swansea we opened all the churches last winter for the homeless to sleep in at night. It was a good project that saved a few lives.
