Anne is gone so now he rememvers her differently. We all take a second look after what we love has been taken from us
Wonderful poem, very honestly put and so very touching! 5 Stars full on Top for the singer Cohen the living Legend!
Cohen has taught me the art of succinctness. One of the greatest poets ever!
Not that Idid compare, But I do compare Now that she's gone. Now that she is gone. expression of the inexpressible. tony
A short poem, that still has emotional depth and density. To compare Annie with the morning sun is a super image.
I love short poems. One of my favorites is WC Williams This is Just to Say. This poem is its mirror, except it deals with emotions and not a physical sensation like taste - so much harder, deeper, insightful subject matter, so much harder to get it RIGHT. This poem is a joy despite its quality of longing.
One of my most favourite singers/songwriters. So much feelings into his lyrics and songs.
Such a sentimental poem.... Superb! ! ! Thanks for posting....
Such a nice offering to make ones dearest one immoral! Cohen not a name but a depth to dip silently. Beautiful.
Touching drop.We realise the worth of someone when he/she is gone. Thanks for sharing. Simply outstanding.
Three exclamation points to celebrate the death of the narrator's love interest. You must be a callous fool and complete ignoramus incapable of reading, let alone feelings of compassion.
Love is what makes one perfect and more so in a romantic relationship. This poem is unique where one of the partners is no more but the sentiments remain. Extremely heart-touching and poignant. Thanks.
Touched. When the beloved is gone, we compare many things that we did not notice when she was around.
Really a passionate piece of poetry written from the heart
