Jonathan Wood13 hours ago I really enjoyed reading this one. Many people don't realize that the world falls more on the cunning of a woman than it do
So if you ask me what it is I do with my days I will tell you I go through them in such a haze
Mehtaji, as usual, in your inimitable style you have paid a great tribute to women and motherhood. I especially liked the lines about women working on fields with her child lying / sleeping in the bedsheet (sometimes a mere rag of a saree) tied between the branches of 2 tree or anything that can hold the edges. Such scenes are now common at construction sites too thanks to migration of cheap rural female labour force to uban centres and frenetic concretization of urban jungles and spaces! Thanks for this wonderful ode to womanhood. Padmaja Iyengar, Secunderabad, A P, india Sep 28,2012
