For All Eternity Poem by Charles Karia

For All Eternity

I'm now loved by one, who doesn't sleep or slumber,
At night he is near, whispering times without number,
In the warmth of his presence, forever I soak in love,
For he is not rash but caring, always gentle like a dove.

You know not of his kindness, his love is a cool fire,
Before I can call he knows, even my deepest desire,
Between us are no secrets, I'm all visible to him,
His love is sweeter than jars of wine, full to the brim.

He keeps me safe, from the nosy mocking crowd.
From ways of evil masses; the paths of the proud.
He leads me on ways of peace, to valleys of comfort.
And keeps me always nurtured, in the safety of his fort.

It is a promise he has made, that this bliss will last.
For eternities I will rest, never away to be cast,
To tell about his virtue, to praise his awesome name.
For him I forsake all, to keep the eternal love aflame,
