Footprints
Loved ones leave footprints
on your heart, or so they say,
But who wants people walking all over
their hearts anyway?
Surely if someone loved you
they would tread gently
So as not to leave a mark.
Some leave footprints, but then some have kicked my heart! Excellent poem! A ten.
